I have always had a sweet tooth and been on the hunt for good-for-you treats that aren't packed with synthetic proteins or fake sugars. I loved the cookies I made for myself in the kitchen but always struggled when traveling or out and about to find something on the shelf that would satisfy this need without making me feel like crap. My mom is famous for having a cookie every day after lunch, until recently when she told me she really didn't think she should be doing that every day. This was the last straw - I wanted my mom (and everyone!) to be able to enjoy a treat without feeling like they're doing something bad for their bodies in the long run.
